Classes and Calendar

This January, Italy comes to CKCA! We are delighted to welcome Italian
Cooking Instructor, Silvia Maccari to CKCA for our second annual week long, hands-on master class in Italian Cuisine. In this 4-day intensive course, Silvia will teach both classic and contemporary dishes from a variety of different regions within Italy.

Silvia Maccari, born in Mantua in the Lombard region of Italy, presently resides in Florence and is the owner of Camilla in Cucina. She has been an instructor at Scuola di Arte Culina ‘Cordon Bleu’ in Florence and Leith’s School of Food & Wine in London and teaches Cookeuro.com’s kosher program La Cucina Kasher in Emilia Romagna. In the metropolitan area she has taught at the Sephardic Community Center and King’s Cooking Studio. She is an olive oil expert and is authoring a book of Jewish recipes from around the world, along with producing a historical documentary about the Jews of Tuscany.

The cost for the entire week of classes is $475. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants who attend the entire week.

Space permitting, there may also be the option of attending one or just a few of the four days at the cost of $150 per day.
