Curious as to how bartenders come up with those fancy cocktails you see at bars and restaurants? Here’s your chance to learn all about it! The Center for Kosher Culinary Arts and the talented and experienced team behind The Cocktail Guru Beverage Consultancy (www.TheCocktailGuru.com) present The Cocktail Lab, Mixology 101. In this unique, hands-on class you will learn all about the tools and tricks of the trade as well as the thought process behind designing new cocktails. We willl be working with several types of spirits, mixers, and seasonal ingredients to create an entire line of classic and innovative mixed drinks. Non-alcoholic beverages and appetizers to be served as well. Price of class includes your very own cocktail making kit! This class is great for couples, groups of friends, or anyone interested in learning how to mix the perfect drink.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO TAKE THIS CLASS.
About the Cocktail Guru
The Cocktail Guru Beverage Consultancy was founded and is run by Jonathan Pogash; one of the premiere cocktail consultants and bartenders for restaurants and spirit companies. His signature cocktails can be seen and enjoyed in many of North America’s most upscale cocktail lounges and restaurants. With nearly 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, Jonathan shares his insights with the most influential publications from around the world, and contributes his unique talents to morning television shows and national radio. As the in-house mixologist for NBC’s “Weekend Today in New York,” Jonathan is able to “spread the good word…one cocktail at a time.”
Our class will be taught by two of the Cocktail Guru’s experienced team members, Hal Wolin & Pamela Wiznitzer.
Hal Wolin, a senior member of The Cocktail Guru Beverage Consulting Team (www.TheCocktailGuru.com), hails from Long Island and lives in Brooklyn, NY. He is a highly trained cocktail developer and events specialist, and has worked for The Cocktail Guru for the past 4 years. Hal is also the Treasurer of the United States Bartenders’ Guild NY chapter (USBG).
Pamela Wiznitzer is a well-established NYC bartender, who also happens to be the President of the United States Bartenders’ Guild NY chapter (USBG). Pam has most recently helped to open “The Dead Rabbit,” a pre-prohibition-style cocktail and beer lounge in NYC’s financial district. Pam is also a Master’s student at NYU’s Food Studies Program. She has worked for The Cocktail Guru team for the past year.
